From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., all interested citizens and students are invited to an active exchange with the 15 national and international artists of OPEN SPACES 800.

The IDEAS FORUM is a digital “get-to-know-you” meeting and inspirational “pre-workshop” – conducted corona-safely as a video conference respectively via streaming media in the Europahaus Bocholt.

15 OPEN SPACES Artists

Five artists come from Bocholt and the surrounding area, five from the befriended and twin towns and five from different countries of the world, e.g. from Denmark, India and the Ukraine. The 15 artists will also work in a variety of artistic genres. More information about the artists and their project ideas can be found here on the website in the list “15 Artists”.

Schedule of the IDEAS FORUM
At 6.00 p.m. Elisabeth Kroesen, the deputy mayor of Bocholt, will welcome all artists and participating citizens.

Afterwards, a short film will introduce all 15 artists via selfie videos.

Jule Wanders, Head of the Department of Culture and Education of the City of Bocholt, will guide through the “Ideas Forum” as moderator – and will hopefully be able to collect many nice ideas from the cooperation of the population with the artists.

— What ideas do citizens and pupils bring to the table that can inspire the artists?—- And what questions/requests do the 15 artists have for the public?

The curator, Verena Winter, will also be present and will be happy to answer questions/requests. She will also briefly report on the participatory project MY SPACES 008:
“MY SPACE – MY PLANET BOCHOLT – MY UTOPIA HEIMAT” is aimed at school students.
And all citizens can participate in “HEIMAT-SCULPTURE”.
